Kit list for NNAS Silver Navigation Award Course

• Water-proof jacket and trousers, fleece/jumpers, hat, gloves, scarf, a thermal baselayer can be useful year round
• Long trousers and sleeves - recommended to protect you from brambles and midge and tick bites (recommended)
• (In Scotland, May - Sept) - Insect repellent (non-deet) and midge headnet (strongly recommended)
• Cup
• Any medication you may need
• Hand sanitiser
• Toilet paper and any needed sanitary product + ziplock bag
• Compass (if you already have one). We recommend a Silva Expedition 4 - if you are buying one. The instructor will have spare compasses to borrow if you don't have one.
• Torch (if the course takes place when days are short)
• Whistle
• Phone
• Stop watch
• Packed lunch
• Thermos flask or other drink
